Primary

At BMCH, parents and young children are able to meet individually with our certified Montessori guide to receive instruction in the Montessori method on a weekly basis.  We recommend that parents and children meet with our guide for at least one or two hours a week to provide children with a routine and gentle introduction to the Montessori method.

Children ages 3 and 4 flourish with gentle guidance and the freedom to work at their own pace during their Primary years.  During their sensitive years the children have a readiness to learn specific skills to enrich their lives. Our beautiful classroom environment is full of hundreds of learning materials that facilitate the child’s independent learning skills. Individual tutoring allows the Primary teacher – a guide for a child’s education – to concentrate on areas of interest to the young child and help parents set up a Montessori learning environment in the home.
